The Botanist ist ein Gin von vielschichtiger Komplexität, eine fortschreitende Erforschung des botanischen Erbes der Insel Islay. 22 handgepflückte lokale Botanicals ergänzen 9 Beeren, Rinden, Samen und Schalen während einer schmerzhaft langsamen Destillation. Der erste Islay Dry Gin ist ein seltener Ausdruck des Herzens und der Seele der abgelegenen schottischen Insel.

von außerhalb stammend: Wacholderbeeren, Koriandersamen, Angelikawurzel, Rinde der Zimtkassie, Zimtrinde, Süßholzwurzel, Zitronenschale, Orangenschale, Iriswurzel
Nase: unverkennbare Kräuternote, viel Wacholder, etwas Angelika- und Süßholzwurzeln, begleitet von einer leichten Süße
Geschmack: Auffallend süß und angenehm mild. Prägnante Wacholderaromen, Zitrus und filigrane Kräuternuancen. Ein geschmeidiger, aber dennoch ausdrucksstarker Charakter. Gekonnt ergänzen sich würzige Noten mit den erdigen Nuancen der Wurzeln. Das Finish ist mild, rund und weiterhin würzig.
